Sands Fridge Liners is a family owned and operated business

Sands Fridge Lines is a family owned and operated business, with a presence in the distribution industry that dates back to 1948, when Hector Sands first arrived in Northam, Western Australia.

The innovative Hector Sands brought with him the state’s first two-deck sheep crate, founding a new era in livestock transport via road. In 1963, Hector sold his livestock company and established himself as a milk and vegetable distributor to the Wheatbelt region. In 1980 Sands Fridge Lines – fondly referred to as Sands – was officially born, thanks to Hector’s three sons, Peter, Kevin and Tony.

More than forty years on, Sands has evolved to service Western Australia as a solution-orientated 3PL provider of end-to-end logistics, specialising in distribution, storage, transport services.

Sands is proud to be Western Australia’s leading cold chain logistics provider.

Over time, Sands has pursued volume and geographic growth to archive a lower cost base over a significant network to provide high service frequency with competitive pricing. Sands has purpose-designed branches in all major centres in Western Australia.

Sands provides chiller and dry road services to company owned or operated depots in Bunbury, Busselton, Albany, Esperance, Kalgoorlie, Geraldton, Karratha, Port Hedland, Broome and Kununurra. Additional services are provided to the regional areas of the South-West, Mid-West, Goldfields, Pilbara and the Kimberleys. What sets Sands apart is its innovative, single integrated solution that covers all aspects of customers’ supply and distribution chains.

Despite considerable growth, the company remains family owned and operated and prides itself on its hands-on approach in the running of daily operations. Sands offers reliability, flexibility, and personal customer relationships, while remaining committed to delivering an affordable, first rate service.

SANDS FRIDGE LINE SERVICE

Sands operate regular scheduled runs across Western Australia.

We cover the majority of Southwest towns daily, and servicing more remote locations three times a week.

Metropolitan distribution supports Linehaul services for customers who also warehouse with Sands. All Linehaul services, and metropolitan services are cold chain compliant, offering customers a highly efficient scheduled network.

Sands is a 3PL provider for distribution, storage and transport services to customers. We are the one-stop shop for end-to-end solutions.

Our staff are talented and dedicated individuals, many of whom have been with the company for two or three decades. Retention of highly knowledgeable employees, with continued upskilling and workplace development is a Sands company and family philosophy.

Our drivers are professional, highly trained, and motivated to provide exceptional service. All drivers comply with a strictly monitored fatigue management program.

Dedicated Account Managers are assigned so that each major client has one point of contact for all storage and transportation requirements. The Account Manager is responsible for facilitating the day to day needs of the client, as well as problem solving and any additional communication required.
